Histology and Histopathology

A systems approach is used to study the microscopic anatomy of mammalian tissues and organs. Related physiological processes are integrated with the anatomical studies. The course includes an intensive laboratory experience where students will learn to visually identify diseased tissue. They will also learn methods of sample preparation including sectioning and staining for microscopic identification of pathogens. Prerequisites: BIOL330.
